Mark Your Calendar for 4C’s Annual Cookout & Auction July 22!
Date & Time: Saturday, July 22 12 Noon (Auction starts at 12:45 pm)
Would you like to own a part of the Celtics 2016-17 winning season? Come to the Craftsbury Community Care Center Cookout and Auction on July 22. You’ll have the opportunity to bid on a pair of basketball shoes worn in a game by star point guard Isaiah Thomas. The shoes are signed and include a letter of certification. A basketball signed by General Manager Danny Ainge and Head Coach Brad Stevens, also with a letter of certification, will also be among the items auctioned off. The live auction starts at 12:45, with the silent auction starting at noon. New this year: absentee bids will be accepted for these two Celtics items only. To submit an absentee bid, please download the form from the Craftsbury Community Care Center website and submit it for the auction.
This year’s Cookout and Auction are dedicated to Bob Twiss. Bob was a former Board Member and Board President, a resident of the Center and one of its most enthusiastic supporters. Bob was an athlete and fan of basketball and baseball. Bidding on the two Celtic basketball auction items mentioned above would be a wonderful way to honor Bob’s memory.
Ron Sanville is back to run the live auction featuring many specialty items. Going up for bid are many pieces of furniture including unique bureaus and room dividers. In addition, there will be a cord of seasoned wood, flowers and vegetables from Stillmeadow Garden, picnic baskets, fur jackets and tickets to a Celtics game. The silent auction, starting at noon, includes a wide variety of gift certificates, jewelry, local pottery, children’s toys and jigsaw puzzles.
The annual fundraising event includes a noon meal of roast pig, turkey and delicious sides. Kingdom Creamery’s truck will be on site to dish up chocolate, vanilla and maple ice cream.
All proceeds benefit this uniquely special senior residence. The Craftsbury Community Care Center offers a warm and caring atmosphere and a safe environment for seniors, encouraging independence, activities and involvement with families, friends and the larger community.
Cookout tickets are now on sale at the Craftsbury Community Care Center - $12.00 for adults, $5.00 for children and free for children under five.
We look forward to seeing you for the Cookout and Auction on the 22nd!
