Fishing DerbyJoin the Craftsbury Recreation Committee for the following exciting summer activities:

  • Kid's Fishing Day is Saturday, June 16th from 9 - 11 AM at Rainbow Pond in Mill Village for children through age 10. Bring your fishing pole and bait. Refreshments provided, free event.

  • Street Parties on the Common are planned from 5:30 -7 PM for following Fridays: June 29th, July 27th & August 24th, weather permitting. Bring your rollerblades, rollerskates, bicycles & helmets. We will also have complimentary rollerblades to use, thanks to the generous support of PowerPlay Sports in Morrisville. Free treats available

  • Craftsbury Red Cross Swimming Lessons will be at Craftsbury Town Beach July 23rd -27th & July 30th - Aug. 3rd. Times are 3:30 – 4:15 PM. Cost is $25 per child each week. Registration deadline is July 1st. Scholarships are available. Click here to download a registration form.

  • Craftsbury Town Beach will be open Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. We ask all visitors to be considerate by keeping their pets on a leash, putting trash in the garbage can, using appropriate language and noise level. Fires are prohibited. Thank you for helping to keep the Town Beach a fun, safe place for everyone to enjoy for many years to come.

  • Craftsbury Old Home Day is Saturday, August 11th. The fun begins on the Common at 9:30 AM with the traditional pet show. Kids' games, including the dunking booth and bounce house, are scheduled to be open from 10 AM to noon. Craftsbury Historical Society will be open 9:30 AM- 4 PM with wonderful exhibits and Craftsbury history. The Craftsbury Fire Department will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs. The Village Improvement Society will be offering a luncheon in the Church on the Common. The Old Home Day Crafts & Collectibles Fair will be set up in the Craftsbury Academy Gymnasium and the weekly Common Farmer’s Market will be open as well.

    Old Home Day The highlight of Old Home Day is the parade beginning at 1 PM. Parade participants are invited to assemble in the Dustan Field parking lot at 12:30 PM. Area schools, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to create a float and share in the excitement and fun.

    Following the parade will be the annual performance of the Craftsbury Summer Shakespeare Camp. This year’s performance will take place behind Craftsbury Academy’s Minden Hall.

    At 3:30 PM, the Craftsbury Masons will begin serving their famous grilled chicken dinner at the Craftsbury Masonic Lodge.
