Craftsbury Planning Commission

Planning in Craftsbury is accomplished by 9 residents appointed by the Selectboard.

Projects are designed by the Selectboard and supervised through periodic reporting at meetings of the Selectboard and at the Annual Town Meeting.

The work of this group of residents has resulted in the following ordinances:

1. Flood Plain Regulations (31K Word doc)—adopted 6 June 2001. 
2. Town Plan (706K PDF file)—adopted 16 May 2006. 
3. Telecom Ordinance (90K Word doc)—adopted 16 May 2006

Definitions for Flood Plain Regulations (23K Word doc) and Town Plan Priority Recommendations (25K Word doc) were also established.

Current Projects include assistance with the attempt to bring internet broadband into the community and work on determining the feasibility of a Wellness Center at Craftsbury.

Meetings are called at the direction of the Chair.

Membership appointments are for three year renewable terms. Current membership: Farley Brown, Louise Davis, Phil Edgerton, Tony Jones, David Rowell, Willie Ryan (chair), Dave Stoner (secretary), Linda Wells (vice chair) and Gordon Waterhouse.
