The Selectboard met at the Craftsbury Town Hall on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Selectboard present was Bruce Urie, Susan Houston and Jim Jones. Michelle Warren (Clerk of Selectboard) was also present.

1. Approve Minutes of Last Meeting:

Bruce made a motion to approve the March 11, 2008 Selectboard Minutes. The Selectboard approved the March 11, 2008 Selectboard as printed. Susan requested a copy of the Town Meeting minutes. Michelle said when she gets a copy for the Town Website, she will email a copy to her.

NIMS Form:

Bruce filled out a NIMS form listing available equipment, etc. in the town in case of emergency. The information will be turned over to homeland security.

Weight Permits:

The Selectboard signed weight permits for Gould Well Drilling, Camp Concrete, Calkins Rock Products, HA Manosh, Walker Construction , Barret Trucking and Blow & Coty.

Liquor Licenses:

The Selectboard signed a liquor license for the Craftsbury Historic General Store.

Town Plan Priorities:

The Selectboard discussed priorities for the year and Michelle will revise.

Energy Committee Proposal:

Susan noted the research she’s done of energy committees in Vermont and possible goals such as education, energy audits and advice. She also had started a list of potential members and will call them to see if they would be interested in serving on an energy committee.

Committee Appointment Update:

Melanie Wingensiefen declined the Recreation Committee appointment and Adrian Owens declined the Green Up Chairman appointment.

2. Road Forman Report:

Steve was unable to attend the Selectboard meeting tonight. Jim said the town crew had just gotten a little more salt to make it through the winter. The sand is getting low though he noted.

Yvette was unable to attend due to illness.

• Bruce said he had met with Steve Marckres and Curtis Mellett and estimated 6000 yards gravel and 3000 yards of sand to be taken out of the Mellett Gravel Pit this year. The first payment was made for $4688 less $469 town reimbursement. The Melletts requested no crushing from July 28 through August 2.

• Antiques and Uniques requested use of the Common July 12^th. The Selectboard approved it.

• Bruce said their application for the Mitigation Grant for Denton Hill was approved. The Selectboard will ask for bids from Royce Connelly, Dwight Denton and Blow & Coty to do the work.

• VTRANS representative, Scott Keiser met with Bruce and Susan March 19^th. The culvert near Bobby Williams is scheduled to be repaired this year.

The Selectboard Meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM. The next meeting is scheduled Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 7:30 PM at the Craftsbury Town Hall.
