The Selectboard met at the Craftsbury Town Hall on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Selectboard present was Bruce Urie, Susan Houston and Jim Jones. Yvette Brown (Town Clerk), Michelle Warren (Clerk of Selectboard) and Willie Ryan were also present.
- Approve Minutes of Last Meeting:
Jim made a motion to approve the February 26, 2008 Selectboard Minutes.
The Selectboard approved the February 26, 2008 Selectboard as printed.
VTRANS Meeting:
Bruce said the VTRANS Meeting is scheduled 9 AM on March 19, 2008 at the Town Hall.
Morgan Update:
Bruce had sent a letter, as requested by John & Cynthia Morgan, to the NEFCU stating that no building permits are required by Town of Craftsbury and also a letter to Hardwick Electric Department stating that the Town of Craftsbury will allow power to be brought across Lake Road. A copy was given to Michelle to keep with the minutes.
- Weight Permits:
The Selectboard signed weight permits for Newport Sand & Gravel Co Inc. and also Inergy Propane LLC.
Liquor Licenses:
The Selectboard all approved and signed liquor licenses for the Inn on the Common and also for the C Village Store.
- Dustan Estate:
Bruce said that he had signed the receipt for approximately $447,000 from the Augusta Dustan Estate.
Great Auk Wireless Open House:
The Great Auk Wireless Open House date is still tentatively made for
March 21, 2008..
Town Plan Priorities:
The Selectboard reviewed the Town Plan priority list. Susan offered to research other Energy Committees to see what is needed and also start a potential list of members. Bruce said to get the preliminary information and they will go from there. Michelle will work on updating the task 2008 task list.
Town Hall Curtains:
Bruce said he had spoken with Christine Hadsel from the Vermont Painted Theater Curtains and she plans on working on the curtains late this summer. He said the curtains were made about 1910 and are approximately 10 x 20 feet.

The Selectboard signed the Town Service Officer form. Yvette will sent out appointment letters.
- Road Forman Report:
Steve was unable to attend the Selectboard meeting tonight.
Clerk’s Report:
Yvette said the new safe is moved in the Town Hall. Some of the desks have been rearranged also in the Town Hall.
Other Business:
- The Selectboard received a notice regarding the Stormwater Grant application stating that they first have to hear from the Federal Budget Committee before decisions can be made.
- The Selectboard reviewed the State’s Bridge Report. Only 3 of the town’s bridges were in poor/fair condition (Town Garage’s, Atwood’s and Nelson’s). Bruce said the Town Garage had been fixed since the data was received for the report. The Selectboard signed forms stating they have reviewed the State Bridge Report.
The Selectboard Meeting adjourned at 9:45 PM. The next meeting is
scheduled Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7:30 PM at the Craftsbury Town Hall.
