Greensboro is going to haul from the Gravel Pit tomorrow and do a trade by trucking gravel for Craftsbury to the Creek Road. Mr. Urie noted that they may have to extend the 2 week crushing by a few days.

Road Foreman Report:

Mr. Marckres was unable to attend the Selectboard meeting but Mr. Jones said he had just spoken to him and things are going well.

The Selectboard will work on getting a photo in the newspaper of the work done at the bottom of Denton Hill Road for the Better Back Roads Grant.

Clerk’s Report:

Ms. Brown confirmed the payment schedule/amount with the Selectboard to the Melletts for the gravel pit.

Ms. Brown noted that although she had difficulty transmitting tax changes to the State, she thinks that she was finally able to send them the last set of changes.

Fuel Bids Date for Renewal:
Ms. Brown said that she would work on getting out the fuel bids tomorrow.

Mitigation Grants TH-3:

Mr. Urie is working on the TH-3 Mitigation Grant.

FEMA Update:

Ms. Brown has completed the FEMA paperwork for the flooding on June 11th and has emailed it to Joseph Downing. Mr. Downing will come back next week to finalize.

Other Business:

Mr. Jones said he had recently spoken to Dr. Gannon who wanted the town to take a look at his culvert. The Selectboard agreed to stop by and take a look.

Ms. Brown said there was a dog complaint regarding excessive barking in East Craftsbury. She will give the dog owner a phone call to discuss it.

Mr. Urie had spoken with the State Police at a meeting who said that when they were called regarding a paintball incident in Craftsbury, most of the officers on duty were looking for a lost hiker at that time, which took precedence. They would try to be more attentive next time a resident calls for assistance, however. The Police plan to drive through Craftsbury and check on things in the next few weeks.

The Selectboard discussion adjourned at 9:30 PM. Next meeting is scheduled Tuesday, September 18, 2007.

Respectfully submitted,

Michelle Warren, Clerk of the Selectboard
