The Selectboard approved the November 27, 2007 Selectboard as printed.

Dogs (Letter to Connoni):

Bruce said that Shirley Connoni had picked up the registered letter from the Selectboard. He also mentioned that he has driven through the area several times and hasn’t seen any dogs outside.

Appropriations:

The Selectboard looked over the folder of appropriations.

Road Forman Report:
Bruce said that Steve called him and won’t be able to attend the Selectboard meeting since he needs to plowing early the next morning. Steve said everything is working fine though.

Clerks Report:

Yvette was absent, will be back from vacation in a few days.

Budget Work:

Bruce said that he worked with Yvette and Steve last week on the budget. FEMA next year will cover the increase in gravel, along with culverts due to the flooding. Guardrails will be put in near Fullers and also Steve would try and get them up near Stoddard’s. Bruce had asked Yvette to show 3%, 3-1/2% and 4% cost of living payroll increase projections. Bruce said that the town crew also had asked to look into the possibility of offering short-term/long-term disability insurance instead of part of the cost of living increase. Bruce will look into the insurance costs. Bruce said they received notice that there would be an 8.2% increase next year in health insurance for the town.

Phil Edgerton Report:

Bruce said that the Planning Commission decided to accept Rebecca Pfieffer’s recommendation to accept Bernard Reindeau and Pete Johnson’s application. Bruce said that the Planning Commission had told Pete Johnson that since it’s not residential, the town rules don’t apply. The Agriculture Department reviewed it and it was turned down however, mainly because it was too close to the river. Bernard still needs to make some changes to abide by State regulations.

Other Business:

The Selectboard Meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM. The next meeting will be decided at a later date.

Respectfully submitted,

Michelle Warren, Clerk of the Selectboard
